What it is

Microcurrent uses a very low electrical current, matched closely to the natural charge across a cell membrane. Healthy cells hold a balance of positive and negative charge, and that balance is what allows nutrients in and waste out. Ageing, inflammation and injury disturb it. The current is intended to help restore that balance, and at the same time it tones the underlying facial muscles and encourages circulation and lymphatic drainage. A prescribed mask is usually applied alongside.

Who it is for

Suitable for most skin types and particularly where the concern is loss of tone, puffiness or dullness. Not suitable if you are pregnant, or if you have a pacemaker or another implanted electrical device. Tell us about any history of seizures.

What to expect

Come with clean skin and no make up. Probes or conductive gloves are moved over the face and neck, and the current is either imperceptible or a faint tingle. Nothing is injected and the skin is not broken. Sessions are relaxing, there is no downtime at all, and you can apply make up and continue with your day straight away.
