What it is
SkinTyte uses infrared light to heat collagen in the deeper layers of the skin while sapphire contact cooling keeps the surface comfortable and protected. That controlled heating prompts the skin's own repair process, and as new collagen forms the skin firms. The change is gradual by design. Nothing is removed from the surface, so there is no peeling.
Who it is for
Suitable if you have early laxity or a loss of firmness and would rather build a gradual change than undergo resurfacing. Because the effect depends on your own collagen production, results vary with age and skin condition.
What to expect
You will feel repeated pulses of warmth with a cool sensation against the skin between them. Afterwards expect redness and a mild sunburn feeling that settles within one to four hours. A cold compress helps in the first few hours, and make up can go on straight away if the skin is intact. Keep to lukewarm water and avoid exfoliating acids, scented products, vigorous scrubbing and heavy sweating until sensitivity passes.
Results
Firming develops gradually, with the fullest effect usually visible between three and six months after a course as new collagen forms. Some people notice a change sooner. Results can hold for six months or considerably longer depending on your own rate of collagen production and ageing. Avoid sun exposure for seven days afterwards and use SPF30 or higher.
