What it is
Broadband light delivers light energy into the upper layers of the skin, warming them gently. That warmth prompts the skin's own cells to renew, which over a course evens out tone and improves clarity. It does not resurface the skin, so there is no peeling and almost no interruption to your week. It is gentle enough to suit a wide range of skin types.
Who it is for
Suitable if you want a visible lift in tone and clarity without downtime, particularly for sun damage and uneven pigmentation. Tell us if you have taken Accutane in the last six months, and if you take any medication or have any condition that affects light sensitivity, healing or clotting.
What to expect
No numbing is usually needed, though your clinician may choose to use it. Your eyes are shielded throughout. You will feel warmth as the light is delivered, and some people describe a brief flick like a light elastic band. Afterwards the skin looks a little flushed and settles within a few hours. Pigmented spots often darken first, then fade and flake away over the following days. You can wear make up and return to work straight away.
Results
Skin looks clearer and more even as the darkened pigment lifts and flakes away over the first week or so. Improvement builds across a course rather than appearing after one session. Skin on the body takes longer to settle than skin on the face.
